Learning Partnerships were set up in 1999 across the country as a government initiative. They are voluntary associations of organisations involved in learning post 16.
Their work is complementary to the local Learning and Skills Councils (LSC). The Learning Partnership provides an independent and neutral focus to develop collaborative activity to benefit learners and potential learners.
In this area the Leicestershire LSC and the LLCLP have signed an agreement to work together. The Partnership also acts as the People and Skills theme group for the Leicester Shire Economic Partnership.
