Businesses urged to train staff through new advertising campaign

The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) has launched a new advertising campaign urging employers to invest in training to achieve business success through Train to Gain, an impartial brokerage service. Click here for more details

East Midlands Adult Learners' Awards 2007
This years regional awards ceremony took place on Thursday 17th May 2007, at the Walkers Stadium in Leicester. The event was organised by the LLCLP on behalf of NIACE, for the third year running. 30 awards were presented, and 280 guests shared in the celebration. 

The LLCLP would like to thank everyone who contributed to this event, from nominees and their nominators, speakers and judges and each of the sponsors for their generous support.

Leitch Report
The Government commissioned Sandy Leitch in 2004 to undertake an independent review of the UK's long term skills needs. The Review published its interim report "Skills in the UK: the long term challenge" in December 2005. It committed the Review, in its final report, to identify the UK’s optimal skills mix for 2020 to maximise economic growth, productivity and social justice. > Click here for more details
