at the Walkers Stadium

Make this years' Jobs Fair Bigger and Better!

Following the success of  last years' Jobs Fair, we would like to invite partners to join us again for the next Jobs Fair - taking place on 24th September!

We are offering all Public Service organisations the opportunity to share exhibition space with us, at the biggest Careers Fair in Leicester. By joining together, we can reduce the cost of your organisation having a presence at the Fair, without you losing any of the benefits.....so what have you got lose?

Don't miss out on an opportunity to reach over 4000 visitors of different ages, genders and ethnic backgrounds.

Last years' exhibitors were busy throughout the day, taking enquiries and helping people find their way around the career sections of their websites. A few of the partners also ran career talks to audiences of 20-30 visitors. Over 2000 people visited the Public Service Compact website during September, due to the pre event advert in the Leicester Mercury.

What did last year's partners say :

“The number of people visiting our stand was consistently high throughout the day.
We registered approx 8 pages in our visitor registration book of people who were interested in hearing about possible vacancies in areas that interest them. The 2,500 vacancy bulletins that we had taken were all gone by 2.30pm giving an indication of the popularity of jobs within the Council.” - Leicestershire County Council

“It was extremely worthwhile and we thought it went very well too!  We gave out 316 handouts and people seemed genuinely interested in employment opportunities.

Having laptops to show people the jobs website and current vacancies, were especially valuable and a number of people actually found vacancies of interest that they told us they intended to apply for when they got home. " - Leicester City Council

“We were very pleased with the event and the number of local people who attended. We received very positive feedback from our target groups, namely, the young, women and those from minority groups. We also were able to promote the retained service in rural areas. " - Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service

"We were extremely busy. We gave out 179 application packs and talked to about 95 people in the seminars, which was a very positive response for us. - Prison Service
